Odin, is the all father in Norse mythology. He is the god of wisdom, healing, death, knowledge, battle, sorcery, poetry, and the runic alphabet. Odin sacrificed one of his eyes for a drink from Mimir's well, and from that, perception of a greater knowledge was granted. Odin is carved in basswood and features the ravens Huginn and Muninn, which Odin sends out at dawn, and returns at dusk with information from all over Midgard. Each raven is looking at the morning sun and early moon which is adorned with sunstone and moonstone powder. Aside from the obvious symbolism, sunstone is associated with warmth, life, enthusiasm and inspiration. Moonstone is also associated with stimulating psychic perception, vision and dream work. It can magnify one's emotions, activating the kundalini energy and emotional balance, and is supportive in children to drive away nightmares or insomnia.
